Enablement care

Supporta Care believes that the services we offer should assist people to remain independent in their own home and we aim to work with our Service Users to enable them to do this. Our Care/Support staff will work with people to help them to achieve their goals however small or large these may seem.

Bathing Assistance and Occupational Therapist assessment

Trained by the local authority Occupational Therapists, our staff are able to conduct low level risk assessments and have access to small manual handling aids stores. Whilst these aids may be sufficient to enable the Service User to bathe independently, we can also provide assistance with bathing.

Established to reduce Occupational Therapists’ waiting lists, this service is often jointly funded by social care and Primary Care Trusts. This service provides invaluable early intervention that can prevent people from requiring high levels of care.

Extra Care

Extra Care provides people with a safe and secure environment to live in whilst also maintaining the independence of living in your own home. Supporta Care are able to provide care and support to people living within extra care schemes. This support can range from weekly pop in calls to assist with housing issues to full 24-hour care.

Supporta Care also work with registered social landlords of Extra Care schemes to provide social events and activities for the people who live there.
