Senior Care Worker (Newcastle)
Reporting to Scheme Manager & external agencies & service users & their families.
To be flexible & adaptable to deal with a variety of situations as they arrive, to be passionate & understanding, driven, approachable & trustworthy.
Main duties:
To communicate with customers & Care Management, both orally & in writing.
To record reports for each client at each visit.
To offer personal care sensitively to incontinent, confused & disabled customers, to include bathing, toileting & other personal care tasks.
To provide promoting, assisting & administering of medication where required & where competent to do so.
To provide emotional care for clients, being sensitive to their individual needs.
To provide supporting people assistance.
To use own initiative when required and report to the office any concerns.
To respect the privacy & confidentiality of each client.
To prepare light meals & snacks as requested on a client plan.
To complete timesheets for each client in accordance with the Supporta Care timesheet procedure.
To attend any training courses required.
To attend specialist training courses as required to perform and to have completed, if not already obtained, NVQ to at least level 2.
To attend an appraisal every 12 months & supervision every quarter.
To provide support & supervision & shadowing to less experienced care Staff.
To understand & comply with Supporta Care’s Equal Opportunities policy at all times.
